Our Story Through The Years
From a small volunteer initiative to a state-wide development organization
The Beginning
Established in rural Ganjam, Odisha as a volunteer-led initiative focusing on HIV, Health & Education.
Program Expansion
Partnered with OSACS to implement Targeted Interventions under NACP-II.
Collaboration & Growth
• Hosted the 6th National Conference of Indian NGOs on HIV/AIDS (INN) in Odisha • Facilitated MoU between OSACS (Odisha) & GSACS (Gujarat) addressing HIV & migration in Ganjam-Surat corridor • Launched SETU Project along the Ganjam-Surat migration corridor
Global Participation
Represented at the United Nations General Assembly Special Session on AIDS (UNGASS) at UN Headquarters, New York.
Partnership & New Initiatives
• Supported district administration, Ganjam in establishing Sraddha Sanjeevani Child Care Home — a dedicated home for Children Living with HIV. • Started PPTCT programme to eliminate paediatric HIV in Odisha with support of OSACS-UNICEF
Beyond Targeted Intervention
Launched the Link Workers Scheme for rural HIV prevention in Ganjam with ActionAid & OSACS. Started community intervention to enhance uptake to PPTCT services with PLAN India, IL&FS (GFATM)
Disaster Responses
Humanitarian relief & recovery support during Cyclone PHAILIN (2013), Cyclone HUDHUD (2014), and Cyclone TITLI (2018).
New Domains & Expansion
• Introduced Changing The Way We Care – promoting family-based alternative care for children with the support of CRS, UNICEF & W&CD Dept. • Expanded PPTCT programme to 30 districts of Odisha with PLAN India (GFATM)
