Odisha is highly vulnerable to natural disasters. ARUNA works to build community resilience through disaster risk reduction, climate adaptation strategies, and rapid humanitarian response when disasters strike. We have stood beside affected communities through cyclones, floods, and the COVID-19 pandemic.
Building community awareness and strengthening local capacity for disaster preparedness through training, early warning systems, and community-based disaster management committees.
ARUNA has responded to multiple cyclones including PHAILIN (2013), HUDHUD (2014), TITLI (2018), and COVID-19 (2020), providing immediate relief including food, shelter, medical aid, and essential supplies to affected communities.
Supporting affected communities in long-term recovery through livelihood restoration, housing support, psychosocial counseling, and helping families rebuild their lives with dignity.
Promoting climate-resilient agricultural practices, water conservation, sustainable livelihoods, and community-led adaptation measures to help communities cope with changing climate patterns.
Join ARUNA in building resilient communities. Every contribution — time, expertise, or resources — helps us reach more communities.
